Welcome To Zoom Room Dog Training in Torrance

We offer a wide variety of small group dog training classes, workshops and private training. We have puppy classes, obedience, agility, and a range of special enrichment offerings including . These classes range in difficulty from beginner to advanced. All classes are taught using only positive reinforcement training. Our focus is on teaching owners on how to train their pup, so all classes and private are done with owners and families present and actively participating.

1. It’s simple, just create a profile for your pup

2. Sign up to attend a FREE Orientation (just for humans, no dogs please) OR if you’re pup is over 8 months, skip the orientation and sign up for an evaluation where we’ll meet you AND your pup. Evaluations are just $25 and takes less than 30-minutes. You’ll meet with a trainer, discuss your training goals and temperament test your pup so you’ll know the best way to get started at Zoom Room. If you’re pup is a little shy or reactive to other dogs, we may recommend that you start with a private lesson to help him or her acclimate to an indoor group training environment.

3. Book your first class or private training session.

1. We’ll need proof that your pup is current on their Rabies, Bordetella and DHPP vaccinations. Pups 8-16 weeks who are under vaccinated just need to provide proof of DHPP and Bordetella to attend Puppy Preschool.

2. Standard 6-foot leash, flat buckle collar or harness (no prong collars, shock collars or choke chains are permitted in the gym) and your clicker. (We’ll give you one at your orientation or evaluation).

3. Plenty of tasty treats for your pup. We highly recommend a treat pouch for easy access to your treats during class.

Our group classes are offered on a flexible schedule that allows you to attend on the day and time that works best for you. Successful training is all about consistency, so we recommend that you attend class once per week, but you can select a different class time or trainer each week if you choose. Need to miss a week? No problem. Just come to class when you get back and pick up where you left off. We will provide you with the milestones needed to for each level and we’ll graduate dogs based on the skills they’ve learned not on the number of sessions attended.

Similarly, we’ll do our best to accommodate your schedule for private lessons. Privates are 30- minutes long. Depending on what you are working on with your trainer, they may recommend coming in once every week or two weeks.

Training is all about consistency and working at the level of your dog. When you’re just starting out, 5 minutes of training each day may be better than doing one long session. Keep in mind that if your pup has a behavior issue such as reactivity or underlying anxiety or is a rescue he or she may need more time to work through issues.
